Day 3 - 07 May 2022 - 3rd Dose
Ladies and gentlemen, would you like to experience a very special touch of taste and effect? Then come closer. Can you smell it already? This unique touch of obstacle with a strong touch of javelin, which you can experience for the first time today? You will not be able to experience this combination again anytime soon. So take this opportunity to experience the regenerative effect of today's elixir.
Obstacle Run (Universe@Home)
The Empire has struck back. P3D was able to beat back what to the Green Planet appeared as a Phantom Menace from TAAT (#2). After it briefly looked like TAAT could outsmart the Greens, the tide has now turned again.
Now TSBT (#3) also tries to attack TAAT. It remains to be seen whether the Scots will use further booster days here to achieve a change of places. Behind them, SG has settled into #4. The Blue and Yellows will feel pretty lonely, as there is hardly any room for improvement. CNT (#5), [H] (#6), and RKN (#7) have sorted themselves out for now, ignoring AF (#8). The Francophones at least keep Ukraine (#9) at bay, who in turn have to fight off TC, who do not see #10 as the end of the line for them.
OCN in #11 appears to be safe for now, but behind them it is a skin-tight race between Meisterkuehler (#12) and BOINC.Italy (#13). The AMD Users (#14) and EVGA (#15) blasted their quartet. UBT (#16) and LITOMYSL (#17) cannot keep up and may even be in danger of being caught by Chinese Dream (#18), BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#19), or TFFE (#20). 2ch in #21 will probably not be able to do so.
BOINC Synergy and BOINCstats continue to wrestle for #22. A constant change of position is well possible. Behind them, unfortunately, Crystal Dream (#24), BC (#25), and Russia (#26) cannot intervene in this fight.
Javelin Throw (NumberFields@home)
The first attempt in the Javelin Throw is today. This is the start of the second discipline and presents the teams with the tactical question of when they should go for their three important throws. Therefore, the current ranking is not really meaningful yet.
P3D (#1) and TAAT (#2) are going in the strongest so far, while [H] (#3) is also doing quite well. The results behind suggest that some teams skip the first throw. RKN would probably be dlighted with #4 in the end, as would AF with #5. And we do not find LITOMYSL in #6 every day either.
Meisterkuehler are currently in #7, followed by OCN (#8). Only in #9 we find SG, which probably hints at them taking a deletion result. TSBT in #16 seems to be taking it easy at the moment as well. We will not know more until tomorrow; therefore, I already leave the javelins for now.
Overall Standings
Of course, the volatile ranking at the Javelin Throw also impacts the overall standings, which we therefore have to take with a grain of salt. P3D leads this ranking ahead of TAAT. [H] (#3) benefits from the lackluster performance of several competitors with the javelins. This also has flushed RKN into #4. But behind them are already SG in #5, AF in #6, and TSBT in #7. Particularly the Scots are currently losing a lot of ground at the Javelin Throw.
Meisterkuehler, CNT (both #8), and OCN (#10) are currently tied on points. And TC (#11) is just a whisker away from this trio. LITOMYSL (#12), Ukraine, BOINC.Italy (both #13), and EVGA (#15) are still hoping for some slip-ups to maybe slip into the top 10.
Chinese Dream (#16) and the AMD Users (#17) will have a tough job with this. UBT and 2ch (both #18) are ready to push forward, but they also have to keep an eye on BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#20).
TFFE is doing well in #21, followed by BOINC Synergy and BOINCstats, who share #22. Only one point behind them is BC in #24. At the bottom of the field are Russia in #25 and Crystal Dream in #26.
Especially the first day of the Javelin Throw raises more questions than answers:
- Will SG and TSBT throw a javelin later today?
- Can TSBT still attack in the Obstacle Run?
- How do the teams prepare for the Cross Country race?

Jour 3 - 07/05/2022 - 3e dose
Mesdames et Messieurs, voulez-vous découvrir un goût et des effets tout particuliers? Alors approchez! Vous la sentez? Cette note inimitable d'obstacle avec un fort goût de javelot que vous pouvez tester pour la première fois aujourd'hui. Vous ne pourrez pas retrouver cette combinaison de si tôt. Profitez de l'occasion pour expérimenter les effets régénérants de notre élixir d'aujourd'hui.
Course d'obstacles (Universe@Home)
L'Empire a contre-attaqué: P3D a pu contrer la sombre menace de TAAT (#2) sur la Planète verte. Pendant un bref instant, on pensait que TAAT pourrait jouer un tour aux Verts, mais finalement les choses ont changé.
Maintenant, TSBT (#3) tente également d'attaquer TAAT. Rester à voir si les Écossais utiliseront d'autres journées booster pour obtenir un changement de rang. Derrière, SG a pris place au rang 4. Les Bleu et Jaune peuvent se sentir bien seuls, car il n'y a pas beaucoup de chances d'avancement. CNT (#5) [H] (#6) et RKN (#7) viennent de se classer et ont également ignoré l'AF (#8). Au moins, les Francophones gardent l'Ukraine (#9) à distance qui, à son tour, doit se battre contre TC qui ne voit pas en sa 10e place la fin du parcours.
OCN au rang 11 semble en sécurité pour l'instant, mais derrière il n'y a qu'un cheveu entre les Meisterkuehler (#12) et BOINC.Italy (#13). Les AMD Users (#14) et EVGA (#15) ont fait exploser leur quatuor. UBT (#16) et LITOMYSL (#17) n'arrivent pas à suivre et risquent de se faire rattraper par Chinese Dream (#18), BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#19) ou TFFE (#20). 2ch, au rang 21, ne devrait pas en être capable quant à elle.
BOINC Synergy et BOINCstats continuent à se battre pour le rang 22. Un changement de position constant est possible. Malheureusement, Crystal Dream (#24), BC (#25) et Russia (#26) ne peuvent plus intervenir dans cette bagarre.
Lancer de javelot (NumberFields@home)
Aujourd’hui nous attendons le premier jet du Lancer de javelot. C'est le début de la deuxième discipline qui met les équipes face à la question tactique: quand faire les trois lancers importants? Le classement actuel n'est donc pas encore réellement probant.
P3D (#1) et TAAT (#2) attaquent le plus fort jusqu'à présent. [H] (#3) se bat pas mal non plus. Les résultats qui suivent laissent deviner que certaines équipes font l'impasse sur le premier lancer. À la fin, RKN serait sûrement contente du rang 4, tout comme l'AF du rang 5. Et ce n'est pas non plus tous les jours que nous trouvons LITOMYSL au rang 6.
Actuellement, les Meisterkuehler se trouvent au rang 7, suivis d'OCN (#8). Nous ne retrouvons SG qu'au rang 9, ce qui semble indiquer un résultat à biffer. TSBT, au rang 16, semble démarrer plutôt calmement. Nous en saurons davantage demain, ce qui me fait quitter le Lancer de javelot dès à présent.
Classement général
Le résultat volatil du Lancer de javelot a bien sûr aussi des effets sur le classement général, que nous devons donc prendre avec des pincettes. P3D mène au classement, devant TAAT. [H] (#3) profite de l'inactivité de la concurrence au Lancer de javelot. Cela a fait remonter RKN au rang 4. Mais derrière, SG (#5), l'AF (#6) et TSBT (#7) sont en embuscade. Ce sont surtout les Écossais qui laissent un paquet de plumes au Lancer de javelot.
Meisterkuehler, CNT (toutes deux #8) et OCN (#10) sont actuellement ex æquo et TC (#11) ne se trouve qu'à un cheveu de ce trio. LITOMYSL (#12), Ukraine, BOINC. Italy (toutes deux #13) et EVGA (#15) comptent encore sur des dérapages pour espérer se glisser dans le top10.
Chinese Dream (#16) et les AMD Users (#17) auront du mal à faire pareil. UBT (#18) et 2ch (#18) sont prêtes à foncer en avant, mais elles doivent garder un œil sur BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#20).
TFFE se maintient bien au rang 21, suivie par BOINC Synergy et BOINCstats (toutes deux #22) qui partagent une place. À seulement un point, nous trouvons la Confederation au rang 24. En fin de peloton, nous avons Russia (#25) et Crystal Dream (#26).
Cette première journée de Lancer de javelot apporte plus de questions que de réponses:
- SG et TSBT feront-elles encore un bon lancer aujourd'hui?
- TSBT peut-elle encore attaquer à la Course d'obstacles?
- Comment les équipes se préparent-elles au Cross-country?

Meine sehr geehrten Damen und Herren, wollen Sie eine ganz besondere Note an Geschmack und Wirkung erleben? Dann kommen Sie näher. Riechen Sie es schon, diese unnachahmliche Note Hindernis mit einer kräftigen Note Speer, die Sie heute das erste Mal erleben können? Diese Kombination werden Sie nicht so schnell noch einmal erleben können. Nutzen Sie die Gelegenheit, um die regenerative Wirkung unseres heutigen Elixiers zu erleben.
Hindernislauf (Universe@Home)
Das Imperium hat zurückgeschlagen, P3D hat die - für den Grünen Planeten - Dunkle Bedrohung von TAAT (#2) zurückschlagen können. Nachdem es kurz so aussah, dass TAAT den Grünen ein Schnippchen schlagen könnte, hat sich das Blatt nun doch wieder gewendet.
Nun versucht auch TSBT (#3), TAAT zu attackieren. Es bleibt abzuwarten, ob die Schotten hier weitere Boostertage nutzen, um eine Platzänderung zu erreichen. Dahinter hat sich SG auf #4 eingenistet. Die Blaugelben können sich ziemlich einsam fühlen, denn nach vorn geht kaum noch was. CNT (#5), [H] (#6) und RKN (#7) haben sich erstmal sortiert und damit auch AF (#8) ignoriert. Die Francophonen halten zumindest die Ukraine (#9) auf Abstand, welche sich wiederum TC erwehren müssen, die #10 nicht als Ende der Fahnenstange sehen.
OCN auf #11 scheint erst einmal gesichert, doch dahinter geht es zwischen den Meisterkuehlern (#12) und BOINC.Italy (#13) hauteng zu. Ihr Quartett gesprengt haben dahinter AMD Users (#14) und EVGA (#15). UBT (#16) und LITOMYSL (#17) können nicht folgen und könnten jetzt in die Gefahr kommen, von Chinese Dream (#18), BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#19) oder TFFE (#20) noch eingeholt zu werden. 2ch auf #21 wird dazu wohl nicht in der Lage sein.
BOINC Synergy und BOINCstats rangen weiter um #22. Ein ständiges Wechseln der Position ist möglich. Dahinter können leider Crystal Dream (#24), BC (#25) und Russia (#26) in diesen Kampf nicht eingreifen.
Speerwerfen (NumberFields@home)
Der erste Wurf des Speerwerfens steht heute an. Damit geht die zweite Disziplin an den Start und stellt die Teams vor die taktische Frage, wann die wichtigen drei Würfe stattfinden sollen. Daher ist der aktuelle Stand noch nicht wirklich aussagefähig.
P3D (#1) und TAAT (#2) gehen bisher am stärksten rein, auch [H] (#3) ist ganz ordentlich unterwegs. Das Ergebnis dahinter lässt erahnen, dass einige Teams den ersten Wurf auslassen. RKN würde mit #4 am Ende wohl sehr zufrieden sein, ebenso AF mit #5. Und auch LITOMYSL finden wir nicht jeden Tag auf #6.
Die Meisterkuehler stehen aktuell auf #7, gefolgt von OCN (#8). Erst auf #9 finden wir SG, was wohl auf ein Streichresultat hinweist. Auch TSBT auf #16 scheint aktuell es eher ruhig anzugehen. Mehr wissen wir erst morgen, weshalb ich den Speer nun bereits verlasse.
Gesamtwertung
Das volatile Ergebnis beim Speer hat natürlich auch aus Auswirkungen auf die Gesamtwertung, welche wir entsprechend mit Vorsicht genießen müssen. P3D führt diese Wertung vor TAAT an. [H] (#3) profitiert von der Inaktivität der Konkurrenz beim Speer. Diese hat auch RKN auf #4 gespült. Doch dahinter lauern schon SG auf #5, AF auf #6 und TSBT auf #7. Vor allem die Schotten lassen derzeit beim Speer massiv Federn.
Meisterkuehler, CNT (beide #8) und OCN (#10) sind derzeit punktgleich. Und TC (#11) ist nur einen Hauch von dem Trio entfernt. LITOMYSL (#12), Ukraine, BOINC.Italy (beide #13) und EVGA (#15) hoffen dabei noch auf Ausrutscher, um vielleicht doch noch in die Top 10 rutschen zu können.
Chinese Dream (#16) und die AMD Users (#17) werden es damit schwer haben. UBT und 2ch (beide #18) stehen bereit, um nach vorne zu stoßen, müssen dabei aber auch BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#20) im Blick haben.
Gut hält sich TFFE auf #21, gefolgt von BOINC Synergy und BOINCstats, die sich #22 teilen. Nur einen Punkt dahinter steht BC auf #24. Am Ende des Feldes stehen Russia auf #25 und Crystal Dream auf #26.
Gerade der erste Tag beim Speer wirft mehr Fragen als Antworten auf:
- Schleudern SG und TSBT heute noch einen raus?
- Kann TSBT beim Hindernislauf noch angreifen?
- Wie bereiten sich die Teams auf das Querfeldein-Rennen vor?

Day 2 - 06 May 2022 - 2nd Dose
Ladies and gentlemen, here it is, the 2nd dose of our wonderful elixir. Today we have added some variety in the strength. You will undoubtedly feel the effect, and do not be afraid of blurred vision or dizziness. Let it sink in while looking forward to tomorrow, when we add the iron tip of the javelin as a new component to the formula.
Obstacle Run (Universe@Home) & Overall Standings
There is nothing like a little variety. Today is a bonus day! This provides the teams an opportunity to get an extra boost. Even KITT fades away in comparison and remorsefully retires to its garage.
This boost kicked up heavy dust, and the current track conditions are challenging for the participants. The visibility is limited, but who would want to be successful without a challenge. Unfortunately, one obstacle or two have also crept in on the scoreboard at the moment. Maybe gremlins or goblins, who knows. But the exterminator is on the way.
TAAT has now taken the lead, but has to face the counterattack of P3D (#2). The Green Planet has mobilised all its lawnmower horsepower and is fighting back! The single malt faction of TSBT has also woken up and moved up to #3. Here is to a glass of Lagavulin.
The victim of this is SG, who now find themselves in #4. The Germans have to be extremely careful not to accumulate too much of a deficit, otherwise it will be difficult for them to win a precious metal. [H] (#5) also used the boost for an attack and made a strong advance.
CNT (#7) also tried to take advantage of the moment, but RKN (#6) is fighting back with all its might. But still, the Rechenkrafties lost contact with the podium, unfortunately. AF also lost ground, only #8 at the moment. They probably need a dose of magic potion, er, elixir.
Ukraine is doing well in #9 and even manages to leave TC (#10) behind. No matter how much the Chinese dragon grumbles, that is the reality. OCN (#11) is also one of the teams that have been able to make the most of the bonus day so far. And the top 10 is not far away.
However, there is already a small gap behind them. Meisterkuehler (#12), BOINC.Italy (#13), EVGA (#14), and the AMD Users (#15) form an illustrious quartet, but they do not seem strong enough to work their way upward.
Another quartet appears to be forming behind them. Led by Chinese Dream (#16) and UBT (#17), LITOMYSL (#18) and BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#19) are also quite close. However, the latter two have to be careful not to lose touch.
TFFE (#20) and 2ch (#21) would certainly like to have some company, as they are traveling at a similar pace. However, the hope that someone from behind can catch up to this duo seems to be bursting at the moment. BOINCstats (#22) and BOINC Synergy (#23) are too busy with cuddling, and Crystal Dream (#24) is still mourning the end of yesterday's dream community.
BC (#25) and Russia (#26) are very slow and complete the field. But at least they got on their way.
It still remains to be seen what the final impact of the first bonus day will be. There is still a lot of dust on the track and we cannot quite see clearly yet. But this will certainly improve soon. And then there is the first attempt at the Javelin Throw tomorrow. While the first day may not be very meaningful on its own, it will certainly rewrite the overall standings a bit.

- Can TAAT maintain the lead at the obstacle?
- Will [H] trouble SG at the obstacle?
- Who will throw best tomorrow?

Jour 2 - 06/05/2022 - 2e dose
Mesdames et Messieurs, là voici, la 2e dose de notre merveilleux élixir. Aujourd’hui nous avons produit un breuvage un peu plus charpenté. Vous allez en ressentir les effets sans aucun doute; et n'ayez pas peur si vous voyez trouble ou que vous avez des vertiges. Laissez-le agir sur vous et réjouissez-vous déjà de demain où nous ajouterons un nouvel ingrédient à la recette avec la pointe métallique du javelot.
Course d'obstacles (Universe@Home) & Classement général
Rien de tel que du changement. Aujourd'hui c'est journée bonus! Les équipes ont ainsi la possibilité d'apporter une poussée supplémentaire. Même K.I.T.T. pâlit et se retire, contrit, dans son garage.
Ce boost a soulevé pas mal de poussière et les conditions actuelles sur la piste sont un défi pour les participants. La visibilité est restreinte, mais qui voudrait remporter un succès sans défi? Malheureusement, certains obstacles se sont aussi glissés dans le tableau d'affichage. Peut-être des gremlins ou des farfadets, qui sait? Mais le dératiseur est déjà en route.
TAAT s'est désormais placée en tête, mais elle doit résister à la contre-attaque de P3D (#2). La Planète verte a mobilisé toute la puissance des tondeuses à gazon et riposte! La section Single Malt de TSBT s'est également réveillée et a propulsé son équipe au rang 3. Un verre de Lagavulin à leur santé.
La victime de cela est SG qui ne se retrouve plus qu'au rang 4. Et les Allemands doivent faire terriblement gaffe de ne pas accumuler trop de retard, sinon ils vont avoir du mal à décrocher une médaille. [H] (#5), qui a également profité du boost pour une attaque, a considérablement progressé.
CNT (#7) a aussi tenté de profiter de l'occasion, mais RKN (#6) se défend de toutes ses forces. En attendant, les gars et les filles de Rechenkraft ont dû laisser filer le contact avec le podium. L'AF est également descendue: seulement rang 8 actuellement. Il est temps de prendre une dose de potion magique, euh, d'élixir.
L'Ukraine se bat courageusement au rang 9, elle réussit même à laisser TC (#10) derrière elle. Le dragon chinois peut ronchonner autant qu'il veut, c'est la réalité. OCN (#11) fait également partie des équipes qui ont réussi à profiter idéalement de cette journée bonus. Et le top10 n'est pas loin.
Mais derrière s'ouvre déjà la première petite brèche. Meisterkuehler (#12), BOINC.Italy (#13), EVGA (#14) et les AMD Users (#15) forment un illustre quatuor, mais elles ne semblent pas assez fortes pour pouvoir progresser davantage.
Un autre quatuor semble se former derrière. Menées par Chinese Dream (#16) et UBT (#17), LITOMYSL (#18) et BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#19) sont aussi relativement proches l'une de l'autre. En revanche, les deux dernières devront veiller à ne pas perdre le contact.
TFFE (#20) et 2ch (#21) seraient sûrement contentes d'avoir de la compagnie, alors elles progressent à vitesse similaire. L'espoir de voir quelqu'un rejoindre ce duo depuis l'arrière semble actuellement illusoire. BOINCstats (#22) et BOINC Synergy (#23) sont en train de se faire des câlins et Crystal Dream (#24) est toujours en plein deuil de l'association onirique.
BC (#25) et Russia (#26) progressent très lentement et terminent le peloton. Au moins, elles se sont mises en route.
Reste à voir quels seront les effets finaux de cette première journée bonus. Il y a encore beaucoup de poussière sur la piste et la vue n'est pas encore très dégagée. Mais cela devrait s'arranger rapidement. De plus, il y aura la première tentative de Lancer de javelot demain. La première journée ne devrait pas être très probante, mais elle devrait toutefois réécrire un peu le classement général.
Et maintenant?
- TAAT pourra-t-elle conserver son leadership à la Course d'obstacles?
- [H] contrariera-t-elle encore SG à la Course d'obstacles?
- Qui fera le meilleur lancer demain?

Meine sehr geehrten Damen und Herren, hier ist sie, die 2. Dosis unseres wunderbaren Elixiers. Heute haben wir etwas Abwechslung in der Stärke eingebaut. Sie werden den Effekt ohne Zweifel spüren und haben Sie keine Angst vor verschwommenen Sehen oder Schwindelgefühlen. Lassen Sie es auf sich wirken und freuen Sie sich dabei schon auf morgen, wenn wir eine neue Komponente mit der eisernen Spitze des Speers in die Rezeptur einfügen werden.
Hindernislauf (Universe@Home) & Gesamtwertung
Es geht doch nichts über etwas Abwechslung. Heute ist Bonustag! Damit haben die Teams die Möglichkeit für einen Extra-Schub zu sorgen. Da verblasst K.I.T.T. und zieht sich reumütig in seine Garage zurück.
Dieser Boost hat heftigen Staub aufgewirbelt und die aktuellen Streckenbedingungen sind eine Herausforderung für die Teilnehmer. Die Sicht ist eingeschränkt, aber wer will schon erfolgreich sein, ohne Herausforderung. Leider hat sich derzeit auch an der Anzeigentafel das eine oder andere Hindernis eingeschlichen. Vielleicht Gremlins oder Kobolde, wer weiß. Aber der Kammerjäger ist unterwegs.
An die Spitze hat sich nunmehr TAAT gesetzt, muss sich aber dem Gegenangriff von P3D (#2) stellen. Der Grüne Planet hat alle Rasenmäher-PS mobilisiert und schlägt zurück! Aufgewacht ist auch die Single-Malt-Fraktion von TSBT, die sich auf #3 vorgeschoben haben. Darauf ein Gläschen Lagavulin.
Leidtragender davon ist SG, die sich auf #4 wieder finden. Die Deutschen müssen dabei höllisch aufpassen, nicht zu viel Rückstand anzuhäufen, sonst wird es schwer mit Edelmetall. Kräftig nach vorn ging es auch für [H] (#5), die den Boost genauso für einen Angriff genutzt haben.
Auch CNT (#7) hat versucht, die Gunst der Stunde zu nutzen, doch RKN (#6) wehrt sich aus Leibeskräften. Damit haben die Rechenkraftler dennoch den Kontakt zum Podium leider abreißen lassen müssen. Nach hinten ging es auch für AF, nur #8 derzeit. Da wird es Zeit für eine Dosis Zaubertrank, äh, Elixier.
Wacker schlägt sich auf #9 die Ukraine, denen es sogar gelingt, Team China (#10) hinter sich zu lassen. Da kann der chinesische Drache noch so grummeln, so ist die Realität. Auch OCN (#11) gehört zu den Teams, die bisher den Bonustag optimal für sich nutzen konnten. Und die Top 10 sind nicht weit weg.
Eine kleine Lücke gibt es aber schon dahinter. Meisterkuehler (#12), BOINC.Italy (#13), EVGA (#14) und die AMD Users (#15) bilden ein illustres Quartett, die aber nicht stark genug scheinen, um sich weiter nach vorn arbeiten zu können.
Ein weiteres Quartett scheint sich dahinter zu formieren. Angeführt von Chinese Dream (#16) und UBT (#17) sind auch LITOMYSL (#18) und BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#19) recht nahe beieinander. Allerdings müssen die beiden Letztgenannten aufpassen, den Anschluss nicht zu verlieren.
TFFE (#20) und 2ch (#21) würden sich sicher über Begleitung freuen, so sind die beiden mit ähnlichem Tempo unterwegs. Die Hoffnung, das von hinten noch jemand zu diesem Duo aufschließen kann, scheint derzeit zu platzen. BOINCstats (#22) und BOINC Synergy (#23) sind mit Kuscheln beschäftigt und Crystal Dream (#24) trauert immer noch dem Ende der Traumgemeinschaft hinterher.
Die BOINC Confederation (#25) und Russia (#26) sind arg langsam unterwegs und beschließen das Feld. Aber zumindest haben sie sich auf den Weg gemacht.
Noch bleibt abzuwarten, wie sich der erste Bonustag endgültig auswirkt. Noch ist viele Staub auf der Strecke und wir sehen noch nicht ganz klar. Aber das wird sich sicher bald geben. Dazu steht morgen der erste Versuch beim Speerwurf an. Der erste Tag mag noch nicht sehr aussagekräftig sein, wird aber die Gesamtwertung sicher etwas neu schreiben.

- Kann TAAT die Führung beim Hindernis halten?
- Ärgert [H] noch SG beim Hindernis?
- Wer wird morgen am besten werfen?

Day 1 - 05 May 2022 - 1st Dose
Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for the first dose. Come closer, but please do not push. There is a sip of the Pentathlon elixir for everyone. Today and tomorrow it has a strong taste of Universe@Home or Obstacle Run. This means that taste, effect, and consistency may differ today and tomorrow. It will be even more sparkling the day after tomorrow, when we add more ingredients from the Javelin or NumberFields@home. But there is still some time until then.
Obstacle Run (Universe@Home) & Overall Standings
Traditionally, the Pentathlon starts on the long track on the first day. But this year, it's not just a "plain" Marathon. No, this year, the chemists have created something new in the deep cellars of the laboratories. Let's hope it is not Frankenstein...
The new obstacles can easily become a catapult for the teams if they play their cards cleverly. Since the days for the extra boost are only announced on the day itself, the teams have to be wide awake and not shoot their powder in the wrong place. Those who act cleverly will quickly be able to outsmart the competition.
There is no bonus today, but this does not stop Planet 3DNow! (P3D) from going off like a rocket. The Green Planet has taken a clear lead, followed by TeAm AnandTech (TAAT), who were P3D's main rival already last year.
Surprisingly well out of the starting blocks came SETI.Germany (SG, #3), who even managed to build a cushion on Rechenkraft.net (RKN, #4), L'Alliance Francophone (AF, #5), and Team China (TC, #6). But let's not forget that there is still a long way to go and we have not even finished a sprint distance yet.
While some gaps already seem large, do not forget, ladies and gentlemen, that the bonus days can and certainly will shake things up. In #7, Ukraine also got off to an excellent start, but is slowly coming under pressure from Czech National Team (CNT, #8). An overtaking maneuver could happen any time.
Crunching@EVGA (EVGA, #10) just had to let Meisterkuehler (#9) fly by. The ice-cooled ones have just made a fierce intermediate sprint and thus gained a place. It could get even worse for EVGA: [H]ard|OCP ([H], #11) is approaching with big steps. BOINC.Italy (#12) also started well and was even able to overtake The Scottish Boinc Team (TSBT, #13). The Scots, last year's bronze medalists, are far from their form back then. It remains to be seen whether this is tactics or weakness.
In #14, we find the AMD Users, who have to keep Team 2ch (2ch, #15) at bay. Behind them is a small gap to the UK BOINC Team (UBT, #16). The Brits are in a close fight with BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#17) and Overclock.net (OCN, #18). In #19, we find The Final Front Ear (TFFE), a newcomer to the Pentathlon. They are still trying to keep up with the trio in front of them. At least they pushed BOINCstats down to #20 and also left BOINC Synergy (#21) behind.
It is a dreamlike situation behind those teams. However, Chinese Dream (#22) has a slight advantage and can still keep Crystal Dream (#23) behind. Both are almost in step. A long duel could be in the offing here. Russia in #24, LITOMYSL (#25), and BOINC Confederation (BC, #26) complete the field.
The long track is still only a few hours old and it remains to be seen how the late starters position themselves. It will also get interesting when the first extra boost is ignited. We still do not know when and how strong. And so questions remain:
- Is P3D shooting their powder too early?
- Has TSBT run out of single malt?
- Can RKN get a sniff at some precious metal?
You see it remains exciting at the BOINC Pentathlon.

Jour 1 - 05/05/2022 - 1ère dose
Mesdames et Messieurs, l'heure de la première dose est arrivée. Approchez, approchez, mais ne poussez pas! Il y en aura pour tout le monde. Aujourd'hui et demain, l'élixir du Pentathlon a un fort goût d'Universe@Home, c.-à-d. de Course d'obstacles. Cela signifie, que le goût, les effets et la consistance peuvent changer entre aujourd'hui et demain. Ce sera encore plus surprenant après-demain, lorsque nous ajouterons d'autres ingrédients du Javelot sur NumberFields@home. Mais d'ici là nous avons encore un peu de temps.
Course d'obstacles (Universe@Home) & Classement général
Traditionnellement, le Pentathlon démarre le premier jour sur la piste longue. Mais cette année, il ne s'agit pas d'un "vil" Marathon. Non, cette année les chimistes ont créé quelque chose de nouveau au fin fond des caves du laboratoire. Espérons qu'il ne s'agira pas de Frankenstein...
Les nouveaux obstacles peuvent rapidement devenir une catapulte pour les équipes, si elles la jouent fine. Comme les journées de bonification ne sont annoncées que le jour-même, les équipes doivent être pleinement éveillées et ne doivent pas brûler leurs cartouches au mauvais moment. Les plus malines pourront rapidement jouer un tour à la concurrence.
Aujourd'hui, pas de bonus, mais cela n'empêche pas Planet 3DNow! (P3D) de partir comme une fusée. La Planète verte mène clairement le peloton, suivie par TeAm AnandTech (TAAT), qui était déjà le principal concurrent de P3D l'an passé.
À la surprise générale, SETI.Germany (SG, #3) est étonnamment bien sortie des starting-blocks, elle a même déjà acquis une belle avance sur Rechenkraft.net (RKN, #4), L'Alliance Francophone (AF, #5) et Team China (#6). N'oublions pas, cependant, que le chemin est encore long et que nous n'avons même pas encore parcouru la distance d'un sprint.
Certains écarts semblent vraiment importants, mais n'oubliez pas, Mesdames et Messieurs, que les journées bonus peuvent tout bouleverser - et qu'elles le feront sûrement. Au rang 7, l'Ukraine a également pris un excellent départ, mais Czech National Team (CNT, #8) commence à la mettre sous pression. Une manœuvre de dépassement est possible à tout moment.
Crunching@EVGA (EVGA, #10) a dû laisser passer les Meisterkuehler (#9). Les givrés viennent de faire un sacré sprint intermédiaire et ont ainsi gagné une place. Les choses pourraient encore se gâter davantage pour EVGA, car [H]ard|OCP ([H], #11) approche à grands pas. BOINC.Italy (#12) a également bien démarré et a même réussi à doubler The Scottish Boinc Team (TSBT, #13). Les Écossais, médaillés de bronze l'an dernier, sont loin de leur forme de l'époque. Reste à voir s'il s'agit d'une tactique ou d'une faiblesse.
Au rang 14, nous trouvons les AMD Users, qui doivent tenir Team 2ch (2ch, #15) à distance. Il s'ensuit un petit vide avant UK BOINC Team (UBT, #16). Les Britanniques sont au corps à corps avec BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#17) et Overclock.net (OCN, #18). Au rang 19, nous trouvons The Final Front Ear (TFFE), une bleue du Pentathlon. Pour l'heure, elle essaie de ne pas perdre le contact avec le trio devant elle. Au moins, elle a réussi à renvoyer BOINCstats au rang 20 et à laisser BOINC Synergy (#21) derrière elle.
Ce qui se passe derrière est onirique. Chinese Dream (#22) a toutefois un léger avantage et arrive encore à laisser Crystal Dream (#23) derrière elle. Toutes deux marchent quasiment au pas. Cela pourrait être annonciateur d'un long duel. Russia (#24), LITOMYSL (#25) et la BOINC Confederation (#26) ferment la marche.
La longue piste n'a encore que quelques heures et il reste à voir comment les équipes qui ont démarré en retard vont se positionner. Les choses deviendront aussi intéressantes, lorsque le premier booster sera allumé. Pour l'instant, nous ne savons pas encore quand ni de quelle puissance. Il nous reste donc des questions:
- P3D brûle-t-elle ses cartouches trop tôt?
- TSBT est-elle en panne de Single Malt?
- RKN pourra-t-elle respirer l'odeur d'une médaille?

Meine sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, es wird Zeit für die 1. Dosis. Kommen Sie ran, aber bitte nicht drängeln. Es ist für jeden etwas von dem Pentathlon-Elixier da. Heute und morgen hat es eine starke Prägung Universe@Home bzw. Hindernislauf. Das bedeutet, dass sich Geschmack, Wirkung und Konsistenz heute und morgen unterscheiden kann. Noch prickelnder wird es übermorgen, wenn wir weitere Ingredienzien hinzufügen vom Speer / NumberFields@home. Aber bis dahin ist noch etwas Zeit.
Hindernislauf (Universe@Home) & Gesamtwertung
Traditionell startet der Pentathlon am ersten Tag auf der Langstrecke. Doch dieses Jahr ist es kein "schnöder" Marathon, nein, dieses Jahr haben die Chemiker in den tiefen Kellern der Labore etwas Neues kreiert. Hoffen wir, dass es nicht Frankenstein ist...
Die neuen Hindernisse können schnell für die Teams zum Katapult werden, wenn sie clever pokern. Da die Tage für den Extraboost erst am Tag selbst verkündet werden, müssen die Teams hellwach sein und dürfen ihr Pulver nicht an der falschen Stelle verschießen. Wer da clever agiert, wird der Konkurrenz schnell ein Schnippchen schlagen können.
Für den heutigen Tag gibt es keinen Bonus, doch das hält Planet 3DNow! (P3D) nicht davon ab, abzugehen wie Schmitz' Katze. Klar führt der Grüne Planet das Feld an, gefolgt von TeAm AnandTech (TAAT), die bereits im vergangenen Jahr Hauptkonkurrent von P3D waren.
Überraschend gut aus den Blöcken gekommen ist SETI.Germany (SG, #3), die sich sogar ein angenehmes Polster auf Rechenkraft.net (RKN, #4), L'Alliance Francophone (AF, #5) sowie Team China (TC, #6) rausgelaufen haben. Vergessen wir aber nicht, der Weg ist noch lang und wir haben noch nicht einmal eine Sprintdistanz hinter uns.
Die Abstände erscheinen teilweise schon deutlich, vergessen Sie aber nicht, meine Damen und Herren, dass die Bonustage alles durcheinander wirbeln können und sicher auch werden. Auf #7 ist die Ukraine ebenfalls hervorragend gestartet, wird aber langsam vom Czech National Team (CNT, #8) unter Druck gesetzt. Hier könnte es jederzeit zu einem Überholmanöver kommen.
Crunching@EVGA (EVGA, #10) musste gerade die Meisterkuehler (#9) vorbeidüsen lassen. Die Eisgekühlten haben gerade einen heftigen Zwischenspurt hingelegt und so einen Platz gewonnen. Für EVGA könnte es noch dicker kommen. Denn [H]ard|OCP ([H], #11) nähert sich mit großen Schritten. BOINC.Italy (#12) ist ebenfalls gut gestartet, hat sogar The Scottish Boinc Team (TSBT, #13) überholen können. Die Schotten, im vergangenen Jahr noch Bronzemedaillen-Gewinner, sind weit von ihrer damaligen Form entfernt. Es bleibt abzuwarten, ob das Taktik oder Schwäche ist.
Auf #14 finden wir die AMD Users, die sich Team 2ch (2ch, #15) vom Leib halten müssen. Danach klafft eine kleine Lücke auf das UK BOINC Team (UBT, #16). Die Briten befinden sich im Nahkampf mit BOINC@AUSTRALIA (#17) und Overclock.net (OCN, #18). Auf #19 finden wir mit The Final Front Ear (TFFE) einen Neuling beim Pentathlon. Noch versucht man, an dem Trio davor dranzubleiben. Zumindest hat man BOINCstats auf #20 verwiesen und auch BOINC Synergy (#21) hinter sich gelassen.
Traumhaft geht es dahinter zu. Chinese Dream (#22) ist aber leicht im Vorteil und kann Crystal Dream (#23) noch hinter sich halten. Beide sind fast im Gleichschritt unterwegs. Hier könnte sich ein langes Duell andeuten. Russia auf #24, LITOMYSL (#25) und BOINC Confederation (BC, #26) beschließen das Feld.
Noch ist die Langstrecke nur ein paar Stunden alt und es bleibt abzuwarten, wie sich die Spätstarter positionieren. Interessant wird es auch, wenn der erste Extraboost gezündet wird. Noch wissen wir nicht, wann und wie stark. Und so bleiben Fragen zurück:
- Verschießt P3D sein Pulver zu früh?
- Ist TSBT der Single Malt ausgegangen?
- Kann RKN an Edelmetall schnuppern?
Ihr seht, es bleibt spannend beim BOINC Pentathlon.

Pentathlon.

1) BOINC Pentathlon 2022 (5.-19. Mai)
Es ist einer der letzten Fixpunkte in der BOINC-Welt. Zum nunmehr
dreizehnten Mal veranstaltet SETI.Germany den BOINC Pentathlon, bei dem
sich in diesem Jahr 26 Teams zwei Wochen lang in fünf Disziplinen bei
fünf verschiedenen Projekten messen.
Wieder einmal hat sich der Ablauf des Wettbewerbs etwas geändert. Aus dem
Marathon ist ein Hindernislauf geworden, bei dem an drei Tagen Bonuscredits
vergeben werden. Trotz dieser zusätzlichen taktischen Komponente kommt es
bei dieser Disziplin auch weiterhin auf das Grundrauschen an, sodass sich
hier auch diejenigen gut beteiligen können, denen der komplette Pentathlon
mit seinen Projektwechseln zu hektisch ist. Nachdem die Marathon-Projekte
der letzten beiden Jahre einen Fokus auf das Coronavirus hatten, kommt das
diesjährige Hindernislauf-Projekt aus dem Themengebiet Astrophysik.

It's time again, ladies and gentlemen. I'm back again and brought something special for you - yes, also for you back there. Don't look so grumpy, come closer. There is something unique here, something very special. That's right - come a little closer and let go of your doubts.

J'ai quelque chose d'unique, quelque chose de très spécial. Oui, approchez un peu et laissez vos doutes de côté.
Il aura fallu de nombreuses années de développement, mais le voilà - le meilleur élixir que j'ai jamais eu. Il vous met en forme, oui, vraiment jeune dame, vous qui tentez de vous cacher derrière Patrick du Harz. Et maintenant je vous présente la 13e version. Il évolue chaque année et s'améliore toujours plus.
