• DENIS@Home: Neuigkeiten zur Wiederherstellung des Projektes

    Es gibt Neuigkeiten zum Projekt und zur Wiederherstellung von nach dem Datenbankabsturz verlorenen Credits. Mit einer Fortsetzung ist nicht vor Januar oder Februar nächsten Jahres zu rechnen.

    Status des Projektes
    Liebe Freiwillige,
    zunächst möchte ich um Entschuldigung bitten für die lange Zeit seit den letzten neuen Information. Wie ich in einem anderen Thread erklärte, hatten wir einen Datenbankabsturz. Dieses Problem überschnitt sich zeitlich mit einem Wechsel des Arbeitsplatzes von Joel zusammen, sodass ich mich allein um die Probleme kümmern musste.
    Leider kann ich derzeit aufgrund anderer Forschungs- und Lehrverpflichtungen nicht genügend Zeit aufwenden, um das Projekt und die Ergebnisse wiederherzustellen. Daher habe ich beschlossen, es temporär anzuhalten. Ich hoffe, das Projekt im Januar oder Februar wieder starten zu können. Ich werde euch über dieses Forum und die anderen offiziellen Kanäle des Projektes Bescheid geben.
    Schließlich möchte ich den Status der Wiederherstellung und des Projektes zusammenfassen:
    • Alle Freiwilligen, Rechner und Teams, die vor 2017 erstellt wurden, haben ihre Credits wiederbekommen.
    • Für die nach Januar 2017 erstellten Konten können wir die Credits über die projektübergreifende ID (CPID) wiederherstellen, sofern ihr mit einem Rechner für DENIS@Home gerechnet habt, auf dem andere BOINC-Projekte liefen. Ihr müsst das Projekt auf einem Rechner mit weiteren Projekten hinzufügen, damit die älteste projektübergreifende ID übernommen wird. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, aber ich glaube, dass diese Übernahme erst funktioniert, wenn ihr für das Projekt gerechnet habt. Sobald das Projekt eure projektübergreifende ID übernommen hat, kann ich euch in der Statistik-Datei identifizieren, um eure Credits wiederherzustellen. Ich werde das im nächsten Monat nochmals analysieren.
    • Wenn ihr nicht in der beschriebenen Situation seid, kontaktiert mich bitte, wenn ihr eure Credits wiederhergestellt haben wollt, und wir werden versuchen, einen anderen Weg zu finden, um euch in der Statistik-Datei zu identifizieren.
    • Nach der Wiederherstellung funktionierte die letzte Version der Anwendung, die von Joel kompiliert und hochgeladen wurde, nicht. Ich denke, das Problem liegt im Code und nicht im DB-Absturz, aber ich brauche Zeit, um die Anwendung zu analysieren und zu lernen, wie das System zum Kompilieren und Hochladen der Anwendungen funktioniert.


    Tatsächlich ist die größte Einschränkung bei der Fortsetzung des Projektes die Zeit, die ich zur Entwicklung aufbringen kann. Dieses Projekt ist mir persönlich sehr wichtig, erst recht, nachdem ich euren großen Zuspruch gesehen und großartige Unterstützung erhalten habe. Ich danke euch nochmals für eure Geduld, eure Unterstützung und dafür, dass ihr hier seid. Ich hoffe, dass ich dem gerecht werden kann.

    First of all, I want to apologize for the long time since the last update of information. As I explained in other thread, we had a database crash. This problem coincided in time with a change of work of Joel, so I was alone to manage the crisis.

    • All the volunteers, hosts and teams created before 2017 have recovered they credit.
    • To those ones created after January 2017, if you have computed for the DENIS project in a computer with other BOINC projects, we will be able to recover the credit through the BOINC Cross project ID. You have to add the project to a computer with the other projects and your BOINC Cross project ID will be updated to the oldest one. I’m not sure but I think that the update will take place after computing for the project. Once the project updates your CPID, I will be able to identify you in the stat files to restore your credit. I will analyze it again the next month.
    • If you are not in the previous situation, please, contact me if you want to recover your credit and we will try to find any other mechanisms to identify you in the stat files.
    • After the recovery, the last version of the app that was compiled and uploaded by Joel is not working. I think that the problem is in the code and not in the DB crash, but I need time to analyze the app, and to learn how the system to compile the apps and to upload them works.


    Actually, the major limitation to continue with the project is the time I have available for been developing it. This project is very important for me personally and more after seeing the great welcome you have given and the great support received. Thank you once again for your patience, your support and for been here. I hope I can live up to how much you have given.
