Day 7 – 11 May 2023 – Days of Decision

In the next two days the City Run and the Javelin Throw will be decided. Since today we also know when all the other disciplines will run. A challenge for the teams who now have to manage their forces. Today I will look at the situation in the Javelin Throw and in the overall standings, which I have neglected severely so far. Although there is still a lot of variability in it, it is worth taking a look. And after that, you will get today's winners and losers in the Obstacle Run and the City Run.

Javelin Throw (SRBase: all subprojects except TF)
Three throws are done and the fourth is today. A rare sight presents itself right now. Ukraine are leading ahead of RKN and LTT. But I probably do not have to tell you that this will not stay this way. Ukraine have a good chance to reach the top 6 and RKN still have a good chance to win a medal. However, for this the final two throws have to be spot on. Still in #4, MK have shown their potential, but it is questionable whether it will be enough for the top 10.

The hottest bet for gold is TAAT (#5). Yesterday's throw was absolutely top notch and today's follows on from that. They still have to confirm it with the final throw, but it would be a real surprise if they failed to do so. BOINC.Italy (#6) and AF (#7) will likely lose a lot of ground. The Italians made three solid throws, whereas the Francophones saved their energy yesterday. Nevertheless, they will probably finish behind the cooling experts, unless they get too hot.

CNT (#8) made two strong and stable throws and have to confirm those once again. If they do so, they will probably end up just below the podium. It will be interesting to see where P3D (#9) are going to end up. Silver, bronze, or iron, that is the question here. The first throw was not good enough to bag precious metal. RKN and SG (#11) are their competitors.

SG became a bit nervous yesterday and once again put the medal at risk. As in previous years they might be forced to make a fourth strong throw. However, this is a challenge because of the narrow time window. Currently it looks like the Green Planet is skipping today, but SG are doing so as well, which might cost them the medal.

AMD Users (#10), TSBT (#12), and BC (#13) can already get in the elevator down. For the Scots, the javelin was already their weak point last year and this is unlikely to change this year.

[H] (#14) will probably go for the final throw and end up behind CNT. TC (#15) will not be involved in the decision for the top places either, their throws are just too short. TFFE (#16), Crystal Dream (#18), Russia (#19), and OCN (#20) will decide the ranking among themselves. However, the quartet will not be able to keep EVGA (#21) behind. They are saving their energy today, but this will probably change on the final day.

B@P (#17) are puzzling us. Their first throw was excellent, but from then on, there was nothing coming anymore. Will there come anything later today? BOINCstats (#22) have probably finished their job. They will almost certainly have to let LITOMYSL (#23) and SUSA (#24) pass. The Americans are banking on the final days, but they are far from their form in the past.

Chinese Dream (#25) will have to let B^S (#26) pass, and maybe GPUUG (#28) as well. PiGyS (#27) are a few centimeters short. While 2ch will probably not touch the javelin at all, UBT are also puzzling us. Only one good throw so far and nothing else countable.

Overall Standings
So far, I have somewhat neglected the overall standings because the javelin has introduced some strong distortions. This has not changed yet, but it is time to have a closer look.

TAAT are at the top and their likely result in the Javelin Throw is not even fully included yet. LTT are on the silver rank, but will probably have to let it go. P3D (#3) and SG (#5) will surely pass them. RKN (#4) still benefit from their strong result in the Javelin Throw and will surely come under pressure from [H] (#7) and CNT (#8).

Ukraine are still holding on in #6, and GPUUG (#9) are also doing well. For both of them, it will be interesting how they will do in the next disciplines. AF (#10) are again very consistent. You can just count on strikes in France and by AF in the Pentathlon.

MK in #11 still benefit from the javelin, but they have some cushion on TC (#12) and AMD Users (#13). SUSA is currently only in #14, in part because the completely fail in the Javelin Throw. But this also means that they can improve in the next disciplines. However, reaching the top 10 will be a challenge.

BOINC.Italy in #15 might still be able to follow. OCN (#16), B@P (#17), EVGA (#18), and TSBT (#19) are basically on the same level. They all have potential waiting to be exploited.

The next close battle is just behind them. Crystal Dream (#20), TFFE (#21), and BC (#22) are fiercely battling each other. And LITOMYSL (#23) and Russia (#24) are also trying everything not to lose contact for good. Except for LITOMYSL, all five teams are losing a lot of ground in one project.

Chinese Dream (#26) are doing very well in the Obstacle Run, as are UBT (#27). But their advantage is fading slowly as BOINCstats (#28) and 2ch (#29) are catching up. The PiGyS round off the field.

Jour 7 – 11/05/2023 – Journées décisives

Les deux prochains jours apporteront les résultats à la Course urbaine et au Lancer de javelot. Depuis aujourd'hui, nous connaissons également les dates de toutes les disciplines. C'est un défi pour les équipes qui vont devoir répartir leurs forces. Aujourd'hui, je regarderai la situation au Lancer de javelot et au classement général que j'ai fortement délaissé jusqu'à présent. Même s'il présente encore une grande volatilité, il vaut le coup d'œil. Et à la fin, vous aurez encore les gagnants et les perdants de la Course d'obstacles et de la Course urbaine.

Lancer de Javelot (SRBase: tous les sous-projets sauf TF)
Trois tentatives sont derrière nous et la quatrième se passe aujourd'hui. Une image rare se présente actuellement. L'Ukraine mène, devant RKN et LTT. Nul besoin de vous préciser que cela ne va pas durer. L'Ukraine a de bonnes chances de rester dans le TOP6 et RKN a toujours des chances de médaille. Mais pour cela, les deux derniers lancers doivent porter. Encore au rang 4, MK ont montré leur potentiel, mais il n'est pas certain que cela suffise pour rester dans les 10 meilleurs.

Le pari le plus chaud pour l'or est TAAT (#5). Son lancer d'hier était exceptionnel et celui d'aujourd'hui s'inscrit dans la continuité. Elle devra encore le confirmer par son dernier lancer, et ce serait une réelle surprise si elle ne le faisait pas. BOINC.Italy (#6) et l'AF (#7) vont y laisser des plumes. Les Italiens ont fait trois bons lancers, tandis que les Francophones ont ménagé leurs forces hier. Et pourtant, elles finiront derrière les Meisterkuehler, tant que ceux-ci n'auront pas trop chaud.

CNT (#8) a placé deux puissants lancers et devra les confirmer encore une fois. Alors elle finira tout juste au pied du podium. Il sera intéressant de voir jusqu'où ira P3D (#9): médaille d'argent, de bronze ou de chocolat, telle est la question. Le premier lancer n'était pas assez bon pour monter sur le podium. RKN et SG (#11) sont ici les concurrents à battre.

SG a un peu eu la frousse hier et risque à nouveau sa médaille. Comme les années passées, elle pourrait être obligée de faire un quatrième puissant lancer, mais compte tenu de la petite fenêtre de tir, c'est un sacré défi. Pour l'heure, on dirait que la Planète verte fait l'impasse aujourd'hui, tout comme SG, ce qui pourrait signifier de perdre tout espoir de médaille.

AMD Users (#10), TSBT (#12) et BC (#13) peuvent déjà monter dans l'ascenseur vers le bas. Le javelot était déjà le point faible des Écossais l'an dernier, et ça n'a pas l'air de changer cette année.

Apparemment, [H] (#14) mise sur le dernier lancer pour se placer derrière CNT. TC (#15) ne devrait pas non plus intervenir dans les résultats en tête: ses lancers sont vraiment trop courts. TFFE (#16), Crystal Dream (#18), Russia (#19) et OCN (#20) décideront entre elles de l'ordre qu'elles prendront. Mais ce quatuor ne pourra pas contenir EVGA (#21): pour aujourd'hui, elle ménage ses forces, mais ça devrait changer le dernier jour.

B@P (#17) nous pose une colle: le premier lancer était excellent, mais après plus rien. Fera-t-elle encore quelque chose aujourd'hui? BOINCstats (#22) semble avoir fait son taf. Il est quasiment sûr qu'elle devra laisser passer LITOMYSL (#23) et SUSA (#24). Les Américains misent sur les derniers jours, mais ils sont bien loin de leur forme passée.

Chinese Dream (#25) devra encore laisser passer B^S (#26), voire GPUUG (#28). Il manque encore quelques centimètres à PiGyS (#27) pour cela. Tandis que 2ch semble totalement délaisser le javelot, UBT nous laisse perplexes: jusqu'à présent, un seul bon lancer, et sinon rien de recensable.

Classement général
Jusqu'à présent, j'ai un peu négligé le classement général, car il contient de fortes distorsions dues au Lancer de javelot. Cela n'a pas changé, mais il est temps d'y regarder de plus près.

En tête, nous avons TAAT et le Lancer de javelot n'est même pas pris en compte en totalité. LTT est encore au deuxième rang, mais devra sûrement l'abandonner: P3D (#3) et SG (#5) vont certainement la dépasser. RKN (#4) profite encore de son excellent résultat au Lancer de javelot, mais sera probablement mise sous pression par [H] (#7) et CNT (#8).

L'Ukraine se tient encore à la 6e place et GPUUG (#9) progresse également bien. Pour toutes les deux, il sera intéressant de voir comment elles se battront dans les disciplines à venir. Une fois de plus, l'AF (#10) est très constante. On peut toujours compter sur les grèves en France et sur l'AF au Pentathlon.

MK, au rang 11, profitent encore du Lancer de javelot, mais ont un peu d'avance sur TC (#12) et AMD Users (#13). SUSA se retrouve seulement à la 14e place, c'est notamment dû à son échec total au javelot. Mais cela signifie aussi qu'elle peut progresser dans les disciplines suivantes. En revanche, ce sera un défi d'entrer dans le TOP10.

BOINC.Italy (#15) pourrait encore s'y accrocher. OCN (#16), B@P (#17), EVGA (#18) et TSBT (#19) progressent pratiquement au coude à coude. Elles présentent toute un potentiel qui ne demande qu'à être révélé.

Le prochain groupe de combat se trouve juste derrière: Crystal Dream (#20), TFFE (#21) et BC (#22) s'affrontent violemment. LITOMYSL (#23) et Russia (#24) tentent tout pour ne pas perdre totalement le contact. Mise à part LITOMYSL, les cinq équipes ont un projet sur lequel elles perdent massivement des points.

Chinese Dream (#26) progresse très bien à la Course d'obstacles, tout comme UBT (#27). Mais les réserves commencent à s'épuiser, car BOINCstats (#28) et 2ch (#29) remontent. The PiGyS ferme la marche.

Tag 7 – 11.05.2023 – Tage der Entscheidung

In den nächsten beiden Tagen stehen Entscheidungen beim Stadtlauf und dem Speer an. Seit heute wissen wir auch, wann alle Disziplinen laufen. Eine Herausforderung für die Teams, die nun ihre Kräfte einteilen müssen. Heute schaue ich mir die Situation beim Speer und in der Gesamtwertung an, die ich bisher arg vernachlässigt habe. Auch wenn diese noch eine große Variabilität aufweist, lohnt der Blick. Und so bekommen Sie dann noch die Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung beim Hindernislauf und Stadtlauf.

Speerwerfen (SRBase: alle Subprojekte außer TF)
Drei Versuche sind geschafft und Nr. 4 steht heute an. Ein seltenes Bild präsentiert sich gerade. Die Ukraine führt vor RKN und LTT. Doch ich brauche Ihnen wohl nicht zu sagen, dass dies nicht so bleiben wird. Die Ukraine hat gute Chancen auf die Top 6 und RKN hat immer noch gute Chancen auf Edelmetall. Dafür müssen die letzten beiden Würfe aber sitzen. Noch auf #4 haben MK ihr Potenzial gezeigt, ob es für die besten 10 reicht, ist aber fraglich.

Die heißeste Wette auf Gold ist TAAT (#5). Der gestrige Wurf war einsame Spitze und der heutige knüpft daran an. Im letzten Wurf müssen sie das noch bestätigen, was eine echte Überraschung wäre, wenn nicht. BOINC.Italy (#6) und AF (#7) werden wohl noch kräftig Federn lassen. Die Italiener haben drei stabile Würfe hingelegt, wogegen die Frankophonen gestern die Kräfte schonten. Dennoch wird man wohl hinter den Meisterkuehlern landen, solange diesen nicht zu heiß wird.

CNT (#8) hat zwei starke und stabile Würfe hingelegt und muss diese noch einmal bestätigen. Dann wird es wohl knapp hinters Treppchen gehen. Wohin es für P3D (#9) geht, wird interessant. Silber, Bronze oder Blech, das ist hier die Frage. Der erste Wurf war nicht gut genug, um Edelmetall einsacken. RKN und SG (#11) sind hier die Konkurrenten.

SG hat gestern etwas das Flattern bekommen und riskiert wieder einmal Edelmetall. Wie in den letzten Jahren auch, könnte man gezwungen sein, einen vierten starken Wurf zu machen. Dies ist aber aufgrund des engen Zeitfensters eine Herausforderung. Derzeit sieht es so aus, als würden der Grüne Planet, aber auch SG heute auslassen, was den Verlust der Medaille bedeuten könnte.

AMD Users (#10), TSBT (#12) und BC (#13) können schon in den Fahrstuhl nach unten steigen. Bereits im vergangenen Jahr war der Speer der Schwachpunkt bei den Schotten und auch dieses Jahr wird sich das wohl nicht ändern.

[H] (#14) wird wohl auf den letzten Wurf setzen und sich dann hinter CNT werfen. Auch TC (#15) wird nicht in die Entscheidung vorne eingreifen, dafür sind die Würfe einfach zu kurz. TFFE (#16), Crystal Dream (#18), Russia (#19) und OCN (#20) werden untereinander die Reihenfolge ausmachen. Das Quartett wird aber EVGA (#21) nicht halten können. Heute ist dort Kräfte schonen angesagt, aber am letzten Tag wird sich das wohl ändern.

B@P (#17) gibt dabei Rätsel auf. Der erste Wurf war hervorragend, doch danach ging nichts mehr. Kommt da heute noch was? BOINCstats (#22) hat seinen Job wohl getan. Sie werden ziemlich sicher noch LITOMYSL (#23) und SUSA (#24) vorbeilassen müssen. Die Amerikaner setzen auf die letzten Tage, sind aber weit weg von der Form vergangener Tage.

Chinese Dream (#25) wird noch B^S (#26) vorbei ziehen lassen müssen und vielleicht auch noch GPUUG (#28). PiGyS (#27) fehlen dazu ein paar Zentimeter. Während 2ch wohl den Speer ganz liegen lässt, gibt uns UBT ebenfalls Rätsel auf. Bisher nur ein guter Wurf und sonst nichts Zählbares.

Gesamtwertung
Bisher habe ich die Gesamtwertung etwas vernachlässigt, da durch den Speer doch kräftige Verzerrungen enthalten sind. Dies hat sich nicht geändert, doch es wird Zeit, mal genauer reinzuschauen.

An der Spitze steht TAAT und dabei ist der Speer noch nicht vollumfänglich enthalten. LTT steht noch auf dem Silberrang, wird den aber wohl noch hergeben müssen. P3D (#3) und SG (#5) gehen da sicher noch vorbei. RKN (#4) profitiert noch vom starken Speerergebnis und wird sicher noch von [H] (#7) und CNT (#8) unter Druck kommen.

Noch hält sich die Ukraine auf #6 und auch GPUUG (#9) ist gut unterwegs. Bei beiden wird es interessant sein, wie sie sich bei den nächsten Disziplinen schlagen. AF (#10) ist wieder sehr beständig unterwegs. Auf Streiks in Frankreich und von AF beim Pentathlon kann man sich eben verlassen.

MK auf #11 profitieren noch vom Speer, haben aber etwas Puffer auf TC (#12) und AMD Users (#13). Nur #14 steht derzeit für SUSA zu Buche, auch weil man beim Speer komplett versagt. Das bedeutet aber auch, dass es bei den nächsten Disziplinen nach vorne gehen kann. Die Top 10 werden aber schon eine Herausforderung sein.

BOINC.Italy auf #15 könnte da noch dranbleiben. OCN (#16), B@P (#17), EVGA (#18) und TSBT (#19) sind praktisch auf Augenhöhe unterwegs. Alle haben noch Potenzial, das ausgeschöpft werden will.

Die nächste Kampfgruppe gibt es gleich dahinter. Crystal Dream (#20), TFFE (#21) und BC (#22) beharken sich heftig. Und auch LITOMYSL (#23) und Russia (#24) versuchen alles, um nicht endgültig den Kontakt zu verlieren. Bis auf LITOMYSL haben alle fünf Teams ein Projekt, wo sie massiv verlieren.

Chinese Dream (#26) ist sehr gut beim Hindernislauf unterwegs, ebenso wie UBT (#27). Doch langsam ist der Vorrat aufgebraucht, denn BOINCstats (#28) und 2ch (#29) holen auf. The PiGyS schließen das Feld ab.
